Ice sports

Ice sport is a winter sport for everyone. You can choose to skate a few leisurely circuits with your whole family, or hone your technique with a bit of tuition, train professionally for your next ice skating marathon, or engage in the very physical sport of ice hockey. This is all iceskating in different forms.

Iceskating is a stamina sport, healthy for the circulatory system, and at the same time training many muscle groups. Additionally, the fresh air strengthens the immune system. The demands vary according to your level of fitness, and with just a little bit of skill you can also do some figure skating moves.

You can expect the following services in the respective region:

  • Prepared natural ice skating facility or indoor ice rink in the region with a length of at least 400 m
  • Skate hire available locally
  • Availability of expert instruction, both for beginners and advanced
  • Information service (ice conditions, opening times, prices, etc.)
