The cross-country ski trails have been awarded the Tyrol seal of approval, and take you from the Pillerseetal valley via Kitzbühel and the wide Brixental valley through to Hopfgarten and Angerberg. To get to know the region, I recommend the Erpfendorf circuit which just has light gradients, or the Brixental cross-country ski trail that takes you 18 km, linking the villages of Brixen, Kirchberg and Westendorf. Advanced cross-country skiers can challenge themselves on the additional 2 prepared moderately difficult circuits, and also on the Angerberg night and training trail that is very popular amongst athletes.
