The total of 240 km of perfectly prepared cross-country ski trails in both styles take you through atmospheric scenery and through forests at the foot of the Dolomites in Val di Fiemme in Trentino in Italy, which has played host to the Nordic Ski World Championships 3 times and is home to 2 world championship cross-country ski centres.

Cross-country skiing at the Lavazé Pass
The centre at the Lavazé Pass and Jochgrimm, one of the most beautiful and sunny unspoiled areas, is, thanks to its height of 1600 m to 2150 m, a snow sure cross-country skiing paradise from December through to April. The cross-country ski trails take you through forests and across meadows, and you will often come across national and international top athletes who use this high altitude for their training.

World championship cross-country ski centre in Val di Fiemme
Follow in the tracks of the world champions in the Lago di Tesero cross-country ski centre. This was the venue for the Nordic Ski World Championships, and has 18 km of perfectly prepared trails for both classic and skating skiing. Other additional attractions in the cross-country ski centre are a lit night trail and the new biathlon centre.

Cross-country ski tours in Val di Fiemme in Trentino
You can enter the famous Marcialonga-Loipe at the World Cup Championships stadium. This takes you along the whole of the valley from Predazzo to Molina di Fiemme. If you like, you can take the sporty alternative by skating, or the more leisurely classic style to explore the area around Bellamonte (1400 m).

Ski touring in the Val di Fiemme

Ski tourers in the Val di Fiemme must be quite skilled and physically fit. The mapped tours lead across passes and far up into the mountains. Once arrived, sportsmen and women are rewarded with a unique view. Vast pristine nature, glistening powder snow and artful summit crosses provide an unforgettable ski touring experience.

Biathlon in the Val di Fiemme

Biathlon enthusiasts have the unique opportunity to test their marksmanship at the laser rifle shooting stand at the cross-country ski centre at the Lavazé Pass. Biathletes also get what their heart desires at the Lago di Tesero Biathlon Centre. Biathlon in the Val di Fiemme is only available on request.

Individual and group courses can be booked and equipment can be hired on site.


Snowshoe hiking in the Val di Fiemme

The Val di Fiemme offers snowshoe hikers 8 mapped, easy to intermediate snowshoe hiking trails. The trails lead through fir and Swiss pine forests, past quaint alpine huts to hilltops with a fantastic panorama and through the beautiful Paneveggio – Pale di San Martino National Park. Here is variety guaranteed!

Nordic Combined World Cup

Between 13th and 15th February Italian and international athletes will compete during the three final days of the Nordic Combined World Cup in Val di Fiemme, in the facilities of the Ski Jump Stadium of Predazzo and the Cross Country Stadium of Tesero.

The Skicrosspark offers you a really fun way of training. This 500 m trail has curves, rollers, and other obstacles giving cross-country skiers the chance to improve their technique and balance. For young children, the Babycross provides a playful introduction to the sport, whilst biathlon fans can try out there aim at the laser shooting facility.
